Season 2 Episode 4
To be honest, I am now just trying to get through the second season because I am hopeful that the third season will be better (I have not watched ahead). The witch storyline is not really working out as well as I hoped it would, which is bad news since the second season has been devoting most of its time on witchcraft. The good news is that I am finding these episodes more bearable on rewatch.
Elena was imprisoned by Aleister and his accomplice Sondra, the only human in Aleister's compound who was not being mentally controlled. Elena was repeatedly tortured to force her to turn into a wolf; they needed wolf blood for whatever experiment they were running with Savannah's blood. Elena was finally forced to turn when Aleister threatened Rachel's life. Elena's wolf, blood, however, did not do whatever it was that Sondra and Aleister wanted. On the final scene of the episode, Aleister and Sondra were sh-gging whilst surrounded by candles and the followers. Sondra injected herself with Elena's wolf blood.

At Stonehaven, Ruth decided to practise dark magic (left hand path) to find out where Savannah, Elena and Rachel were being held. Ruth somehow managed to wake the consciousness of the dead girl, Melanie Lau. The only useful information that came out of that was a name, Dr. Bauer.
Jeremy had been helpful to Ruth, but he suspected that she was not telling him everything she knew. Jeremy also told Clay and Nick that the Council must not find out the witches knew of werewolves. Yep, that would be messy.
Logan managed to get to Rachel, but the two of them were forced to surrender. The mark on Rachel's neck, also on Elena's neck and on another werewolf, Richard, prevented them from making it past the same mark nailed to trees surrounding the property. When Richard as a wolf ran past the mark despite the pain he was in, he exploded. I cannot wait for Elena to get out of this place.
Strays
■ Elena and Savannah have been talking via a hole in the wall that Elena managed to punch.
■ Jeremy asked Ruth why, if witches did not have male children, was there a male witch (Aleister). Ruth claimed she did not know.
■ Ruth and Paige spoke of how Aleister's existence meant someone broke the commandment.
■ Ruth and Paige spoke of how Aleister's existence meant someone broke the commandment.
■ I really have very little interest in whatever the Undoing is at this point.
